What are the common uses for Thermedia Thermoplastic Anti-Slip treatment?
Treatment of any hard surface with a slip problem, surface branding, road markings, demarcation of warehouse and factory pedestrian/traffic routes, fire escapes, loading docks, H&S signs, steps, etc.
How is the treatment applied?
The product is heat fused to the surface using propane gas and a roofing torch. Hot Works Permit may be required for certain installations.
Can anyone apply the treatment?
Yes, once trained. At Thermedia we offer a comprehensive training program for those wishing to install the product themselves, but naturally we have our own teams of trained installers with over 10 years of experience.
How long will the product last?
In normal applications we are able to offer a 10 year guarantee for pedestrian traffic and up to 8 years for vehicular traffic
Can the Anti-Slip treatment be used indoors?
Yes however the product must be cleaned in accordance with Thermedia procedure and never with strong detergents and chemicals.
Can I remove the product if required in the future?
Yes, if required, but as with all surface markings that are designed to be permanent it may leave a “ghosting" on the sub surface.
How long before the surface can be used after treatment is applied?
10-15 minutes in all applications, offering minimum downtime and disruption.
Can the product be patched or repaired if damaged?
Yes. Very rarely prone to damage, but easily rectified.
How do I clean the treated surface?
Warm soapy water, a scrubbing brush or mild jet wash. Do Not use degreasing detergents at any time.
Can ANY design, logo or message be created in Thermedia Anti-Slip?
Yes however the product does not support graduated tints such as can be seen on some corporate logos
